We are and will be craftsmen and it is in this fact that we believe that our difference lies
The Odeáxere bakery started out as a small family business about 20 years ago: two small ovens heated with firewood and a small, totally handmade production dedicated almost entirely to the neighbors of the village. It was then that the work of Dª Conceição and her husband, José Correia began to be known as “Bread of Odeáxere”.
With increased demand, our production has increased, but we have always wanted to be faithful to our principle of tradition, quality and satisfaction in creating a different bread.
We have sold our products through the store in Odeáxere and at the same time supplying the supermarkets of the counties of Lagos and Portimão.
In 2005 we began to develop a strategy of direct sales and the first store in Lagos was acquired on Vasco da Gama street.
Thus was born the first of three stores “O pão d’Avó Maria”.
We wanted to combine two concepts: the sale of our products to the public with cafeteria service.
In the year 2006 it appears in Sto. Amaro, the second store in Lagos. And in 2007 the third, in Ameijeira.
All our products are made without dyes and preservatives and in an artisan way. The seeds that are used are of biological origin. All our products are cooked in masonry ovens and heated to firewood.
